A build-up of soot and creosote is the main cause of chimney fires, and it collects every time you burn a fire. We sweep the flue from the firebox up, clearing deposits off the liner walls and out of the smoke chamber, and check the damper opens and closes as it should.
We work with drop cloths down and a vacuum running, so ash and soot don't end up on your hearth or carpet. Once the sweep is done we let you know what we found - if there's anything that needs a closer look, like cracking or a build-up we can't fully clear, we'll tell you before it becomes a bigger job.
