A camera run up the flue to check its condition and show you exactly what's there.
A camera survey lets me put a lens right up inside the flue so we can both see its actual condition, rather than relying on guesswork. It picks up things a standard sweep wouldn't show, like hairline cracks in the liner, old bird nests or debris further up, or where a flue has narrowed over time.
It's particularly worth doing before fitting a new stove, if you've just moved into a property and don't know the chimney's history, or if something's been drawing badly and a sweep on its own hasn't explained why. I'll talk you through what the camera picks up and what, if anything, needs doing about it.
