Some need relining because the existing flue is too wide or in poor condition, others need a full twin-wall system built up through a room where there's no chimney at all. I survey the route before quoting so the liner size and flue type match the stove or fire going in, not the other way round.
Where a chimney's being reused, I'll smoke test it and check for any issues before committing to a liner. Where a new flue is going in, I plan the route to keep it as neat and short as the building allows, then finish it off with the right cowl for the location.
