A kitchen refit touches nearly every trade in the house, carpentry, plumbing, electrics, tiling and flooring all have to land in the right order for the room to come together properly. I plan the sequence before anything is ripped out, so units aren't waiting on a plumber and tiling isn't chasing a late worktop template.
I work from your layout and your budget, not a standard package. That might mean moving a sink run, changing a door swing, or fitting units around an awkward stud wall. Whatever it takes to get the finish flush and the room working the way you actually use it.

Bathrooms are unforgiving if the groundwork isn't right, waterproofing behind the tiles, correct falls to the drain, and plumbing that's been properly pressure-tested before anything gets sealed in. I do that groundwork first, every time, because it's the part that causes problems years down the line if it's skipped.
On top of that it's about the finish you'll actually see and touch daily, straight tile lines, tight grout joints, fittings that sit flush and taps that don't wobble. I coordinate the whole job myself so the trades don't clash and the bathroom is usable again as quickly as possible.

Most flooring problems start underneath, not on top, an uneven subfloor will show through any finish eventually, so I take the time to level and prep properly before anything is laid. That's the difference between a floor that sits flat for years and one that starts lifting or creaking within months.
I fit tiling, LVT, laminate and wood flooring across kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms, usually as part of a wider renovation but also as standalone jobs. Whatever the room, the finish is laid flush against skirtings and door thresholds so it looks like it was always meant to be there.

Decorating only looks good if the prep underneath is right, filling cracks, sanding back old paint, and making sure the surface is sound before a single coat goes on. Skipping that step is why paintwork often looks fine on the day and patchy a few months later.
I take on everything from a single feature wall to a full house repaint, usually alongside a wider renovation but also as its own job. Straight lines at the ceiling and skirting, even coverage, and no visible brush marks once it's dry.

Bigger projects fail or succeed on sequencing, getting the right trade on site at the right time, and not letting one delay knock on to everything after it. I plan the job before work starts and manage it in person throughout, rather than handing it off between subcontractors.
