Every job is quoted individually — chimney sweeping, stove installations and relining all vary depending on your property and appliance. I give you a fixed written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Are you insured and certified?
Yes. I'm a Sweep Safe certified chimney sweep and a HETAS-registered installer, and I carry full public liability insurance. Sweep Safe certification means your sweep is recognised by home insurers, and HETAS registration allows me to self-certify stove installations to building regulations.
How long does a chimney sweep or installation take?
A standard chimney sweep typically takes around 45 minutes to an hour. A stove installation takes longer — usually a full day depending on the scope of the work involved. I'll give you a realistic time estimate when I provide your quote.
How do you know if there's a deeper problem with my chimney?
A standard sweep will reveal many issues, but for anything that needs closer inspection — a suspected crack, poor draw or structural concern — I can carry out a CCTV survey to see exactly what's happening inside the flue before recommending any remedial work.
