About Muddy Paws Dog
Hi, I'm your dog groomer in Wells — I treat every dog like my own.
I set up Muddy Paws because I genuinely love dogs — all of them, but especially the ones who find the whole experience a bit daunting. I take things slowly, let each dog settle in at their own pace, and never rush a groom. By the time they leave they're usually calm, happy and looking absolutely gorgeous.
Nervous dogs are always welcome here. I've worked with plenty of anxious dogs and I know how much it means to an owner to see their dog come home relaxed rather than stressed. The salon is kept quiet and calm, and I'll always take time to chat with you about your dog's temperament before we start.
I'm based in Wells and see dogs from across Somerset. If you'd like to book your dog in, just give me a call — I'd love to meet them.

What grooming services do you offer?
I offer full grooms, baths and blow dries, nail trims, de-shedding treatments, puppy first grooms and dog day care. Each groom is tailored to your dog's breed, coat type and individual needs.
How do I book an appointment?
Just give me a call on 07700 900533 and we'll find a slot that suits you. I'm available Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:30pm and Saturday 8:30am–3pm.
How much does a groom cost?
Prices depend on your dog's breed, size and coat condition. Get in touch and I'll give you an honest price before you book — no surprises.
How long does a groom take?
It depends on the size and coat of your dog, but most grooms take between one and three hours. I'll give you a rough time when you book so you know when to collect.
My dog is nervous — will they be okay?
Absolutely — nervous dogs are very welcome here. I take things slowly, let each dog settle in at their own pace, and never rush. Many anxious dogs come back calm and relaxed, and owners are always pleasantly surprised.
