Yes — I carry full public liability insurance and issue a written safety certificate with every sweep. This is accepted by insurers and gives you documented proof that your chimney has been professionally swept and checked.
How long does a chimney sweep take?
Most standard sweeps take between 45 minutes and an hour. If I am carrying out a CCTV inspection or additional stove checks at the same visit, allow a little longer. I will always give you a realistic time when you book.
How do I know what is actually going on inside my chimney?
If you have any concerns about the condition of your flue — perhaps after buying a property or if you have noticed unusual smoke behaviour — a CCTV camera inspection gives a clear visual picture of the inside. I will explain what I find honestly and only recommend work that is genuinely needed.
