How much does a wood-burning stove installation cost?
Every installation is different — the price depends on the stove chosen, the condition of the existing chimney or flue, and whether a new liner is needed. I don't give estimates over the phone. After a free site survey I provide a clear, fixed written quote covering all the work with no hidden extras.
Are you insured and HETAS certified?
Yes. I am HETAS certified, which is the recognised competency scheme for solid fuel and wood-burning appliances in the UK. Every installation I complete is registered with HETAS, providing the certificate required by building control. I am also fully insured for all the work I carry out.
How long does an installation take?
Most wood-burning stove and fireplace installations are completed in one to two days, depending on the scope of work — for example, whether a new flue liner is required or significant hearth work is needed. I'll give you a clear timeline as part of your fixed written quote.
Are there any grants or schemes that could help with costs?
Government and local authority schemes supporting cleaner heating do change from time to time, so it's worth checking current eligibility if you're considering a qualifying appliance. I'm happy to talk through what might be relevant during your free site survey.
