Hi, I'm Amanda — I love every dog that comes through the door
Hi, I'm Amanda, the groomer behind Doggie Styler here in Minehead. My salon is my little corner of the world, and every dog who visits gets the same patient, unhurried attention I'd want for my own. Whether it's a bouncy pup coming in for the first time or a stubborn regular who needs a little extra coaxing, I take it all in my stride — calmly and without any rushing.
I know how much trust you place in me when you drop your dog off, and I never take that lightly. The salon is kept calm and welcoming — no unnecessary noise, no chaos — just gentle, careful handling and plenty of time so every dog feels as settled as possible. Cockapoos, cocker spaniels, scruffy terriers, nervous rescues — I work with all sorts and I love meeting every one of them.

What grooming services do you offer?
I offer a full range of dog grooming services including full grooms, bath and blow dry, trim and tidy, breed styling, nail trimming and a gentle introductory groom for puppies. I work with all breeds and coat types, and I'm especially experienced with cockapoos and cocker spaniels.
How do I book an appointment?
Just give me a call on 07977 221230 to check availability and arrange a time. I'm open Monday to Saturday (from 11am on Thursdays), so there are plenty of slots to choose from — I'll find something that works for you and your dog.
How much does a groom cost?
Prices vary depending on your dog's breed, size and coat type, so please get in touch and I'll give you an accurate price. I'm happy to chat through what's involved before you commit to booking.
How long will the groom take?
It depends on the breed, coat and type of groom — a bath and blow dry is quicker than a full groom with styling. I'll give you a rough idea when you book and will let you know when your dog is ready to collect.
What if my dog is nervous or tricky to groom?
I'm very experienced with anxious, nervous or stubborn dogs and always work calmly and patiently, taking as much time as each dog needs. If your dog finds grooming stressful, just let me know when you book so I can plan the appointment with them in mind.
Where are you based, and do you see dogs from nearby towns?
I'm based in Minehead, TA24 5NP, and welcome dogs from across the local area including Dunster, Porlock, Watchet, Williton, Exford, Bishops Lydeard, Stogumber and the surrounding villages. Give me a call to arrange a visit.
