About Chew Valley Vets
A Vet Practice That Truly Cares
Hi — I'm the vet behind Chew Valley Vets, and I started this practice because I believe every animal deserves to be seen as an individual, not a number in a queue. We're based in the heart of Chew Magna, right in the Chew Valley, and we look after pets from across the surrounding villages and beyond.
Animals can't tell us what's wrong, and a trip to the vet can be stressful — especially for anxious dogs, nervous cats or rescue animals still finding their feet. I take real care to go slowly, stay calm, and let your pet set the pace. If you know they find visits difficult, just mention it when you book and I'll make sure we're ready for them.
Whether it's something routine or something that's worried you, I'll always take the time to explain exactly what's going on and talk through the options clearly — no jargon, no pressure. Get in touch to book them in, and I'll take great care of them.

How much does it cost?
Costs vary depending on what your pet needs. Get in touch and we'll be happy to talk through what's involved. We'll always be upfront about pricing before we go ahead with anything.
How long will the appointment take?
We allow plenty of time for each appointment so neither you nor your pet ever feel rushed. If your animal needs a little extra care or patience, just let us know when you book and we'll plan accordingly.
What if my pet is nervous or anxious?
Nervous and anxious pets are very welcome here. We go slowly, keep things calm, and do everything we can to help them feel safe. Please do mention it when you book — it means we can take extra care from the moment they arrive.
